Here is the weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 11/12 July. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.Tube strike
There is no Tube service today, Thursday 9 July, as a result of strike action being taken by the ASLEF, RMT, Unite and TSSA unions.
Staff on the bus network, the DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail, Trams, river services, Emirates Air Line and Santander Cycles are not on strike; extra bus and river services will be in operation. Public transport and roads will be much busier than usual, especially during evening peak hours. Please travel outside this time if you can.
Trains will not run between Aldgate East and Upminster. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel, track and drainage replacement work at Mile End and Hornchurch and station improvement work at Stepney Green.
Hammersmith& City line
There will be no service between Liverpool Street and Barking. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel, track and drainage replacement work at Mile End, and station improvement work at Stepney Green.
London Overground
There will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking due to Network Rail infrastructure work.On Sunday there will be no service between Sydenham and Crystal Palace before 09:30 and after 22:00. In addition, trains will not run between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction until 10:00. This is due to Network Rail track work.

Docklands Light Railway
There will be no service from Bank and Tower Gateway to Blackwall, All Saints and Canary Wharf. This is due to track improvement work.
Buses
Hammersmith – The Hammersmith Flyover (A4) will be closed westbound from 22:30 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday and eastbound from 22:30 on Saturday until 10:00 on Sunday. This is while we enter the final phase of work to strengthen the flyover, as part of the Road Modernisation Plan. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their normal destination. City of London – Between 18:30 and 20:30 today (Thursday), various road closures will be in place, including City Road, London Wall and Moorgate. This is due to a sporting event. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their destination.
Central London – Between 12:00 and 17:00 on Friday, there will be delays on various roads in central London, including Portland Place, Oxford Circus, Regent Street and Grosvenor Square. This is due to a procession. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their destination.
Central London – From 22:00 on Monday until 06:00 on Tuesday 14 July, lane restrictions will be in place on Trafalgar Square at the junctions of Strand and Northumberland Avenue. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their destination.

Roads
