Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 13-14 May. One London Underground line is affected by planned works, and most of the network will be open with services running as normal. Please check if any of the following affect you.
London Underground
Northern line
Trains will not run between Tooting Broadway and Morden after approximately 02:00 on Sunday. This is to allow us to carry out points improvement work at Morden.
London Overground
Tonight, Thursday, there will be no service between the following stations, due to Network Rail track work:
• Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:30
• Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45
On Sunday, there will be no service between Camden Road and Stratford due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner and Network Rail station work at Hackney Wick.
London Trams
Trams will not run between Addiscombe and Birkbeck/Elmers End, due to work taking place on Blackhorse Lane bridge.
Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:
Westminster – Until Sunday, there is no left turn from Parliament Square into Parliament Street. Various other restrictions are in place around Parliament Square and its approaches until August. This is due to utility works. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/parliament-square-works
East London – From 08:00 on Saturday until 15:00 on Sunday, temporary traffic lights are in operation on Burdett Road at the junction of St Paul’s Way. This is for telecoms works.
Dartford Tunnel – From 21:00 on Saturday until 08:00 on Sunday, the tunnel will be closed northbound. This is for upgrade works.
Central London – From 08:00 until 14:00 on Sunday, Kingsway will be closed southbound at the junction of Remnant Street. This is for tree removal.
Bayswater – From 08:00 on Monday until 23 May, Bayswater Road will be closed between Lancaster Terrace and Clarendon Place. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/eastwest
