The train goes direct to St. Pancreas International Station, London Blackfriars, London Bridge, East Croydon and then on to Brighton. There is one every 15 minutes during the week and half hourly on weekends.
You will need to take the Shuttle bus from London Luton Airport to the Luton Train Station, which you have to pay for, so make sure your ticket starts from the Aiport and not the train station. There is a train ticket desk in the main Airport Terminal as well as self service ticket machines in the baggage reclaim area for inbound customers. This is also for passengers who have purchased online to collect their tickets.
