Transport for London, (TfL), are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programe across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.
If you are planning to travel this Bank Holiday weekend, 4 – 6 May, most of the network will be open with services running as normal but please check if any of the following works will affect you.

Central line
Mile End station is closed for track replacement work on the District and Hammersmith & City lines.
District line
There is no service between Tower Hill and West Ham while we replace track in the Aldgate East and Mile End areas and due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel. For more information about the new Crossrail Whitechapel station, please click here
Hammersmith & City line
Trains will not run between Moorgate and Barking while we replace track in the Aldgate East and Mile End areas and due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel.
Metropolitan line
There is no service between Wembley Park and Northwood/Uxbridge to enable us to replace track between Preston Road and Harrow‑on‑the‑Hill.
Northern line
Trains will not run between Hampstead and Edgware Road while we install new signalling.
London Overground
There is no service on Saturday and Sunday between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell as well as between Surrey Quays and New Cross due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel.
The following services will be affected on Saturday after 07:15 and all day Sunday and Monday:
Trains will not run between Highbury & Islington and Stratford to enable Network Rail to carry out bridge work at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and station refurbishment at Hackney Wick
There are no westbound services at Caledonian Road & Barnsbury as the platform is closed to allow for bridge work at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
