Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 25/26 July. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.
London Underground
We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, for the modernisation of the Tube.
District line
Trains will not run between Aldgate East and Bromley-by-Bow. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel.
Hammersmith & City line
There will be no service between Liverpool Street and Barking. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel.
Jubilee line
On Saturday, there will be no service between Willesden Green and Stanmore, and on Sunday there will be no service between West Hampstead and Stanmore. This is while we renew points and replace track at Neasden.
Metropolitan line
Trains will not run between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill while we renew points and replace track at Neasden.
London Overground
On Saturday and Sunday, trains will not run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross, Clapham Junction, Crystal Palace and West Croydon, due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel.On Monday and Tuesday, there will be no service between both Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, and Surrey Quays and New Cross. This is due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel.
TfL Rail

London Trams
Trams will not run between New Addington and Sandilands until Friday 31 July due to track replacement work in the Addington area.There is no service between Wimbledon and Dundonald Road until October 2015, while we construct an additional platform at Wimbledon.
Buses
Hammersmith – The Hammersmith Flyover (A4) will be closed as follows:

Eastbound closure only – 22:30 Friday to 22:30 Saturday
•
Full closure of the flyover – 22:30 Saturday to 05:00 Sunday
•
Westbound closure only – 05:00 Sunday to 05:00 Monday
This is while we enter the final phase of work to strengthen the flyover, as part of the Road Modernisation Plan. Delays are expected on the A4 and drivers are advised to use the A40. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their destination. For more information, please click here
West Hampstead – From 08:00 on Saturday until 06:00 on Monday, A41 Finchley Road will have lane restrictions in place southbound between Ingham Road and Parsifal Road. This is due to work being carried out by Thames Water. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their final destination.
Central London – From 08:00 until 18:00 on Saturday, Shaftesbury Avenue will be closed in both directions between Dean Street and Frith Street, due to a crane operation. Buses will be diverted or stop short of their final destination.
City of London – From 08:00 until 18:00 on Saturday, Cannon Street will be closed in both directions between Laurence Pountney Lane and Bush Lane. This is due to a crane operation. Buses will be diverted or stop short of their final destination. There will be an additional closure between the same times on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August.
Croydon – Until early September, temporary traffic lights will be in place on A236 Mitcham Road at the junction of Sumner Road. This is due to junction improvement work. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their final destination.
